When will I receive my mailing list?
Most lists will be fulfilled automatically through the online system, and you will be sent an email with a link to your data within a few minutes. If you are purchasing a consumer mailing list that contains email addresses, manual intervention is needed to complete the order. In that case you will receive your order within a few hours, during the our normal scheduled office hours which are Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 6:00 ET. Finally, if your order contains sensitive data selections we will need a copy of your mail piece before your order is fulfilled. The data selections that are considered sensitive are Children Present, Age 65+ and Ethnicity. If you place an order with any of these selections you will receive an email asking for a copy of your mail piece and once we receive that back from you the order will be fulfilled in line with standard delivery times quoted above.
How will I receive the mailing list?
You will receive two emails after placing an order. The first will come from DirectMail.com and is a receipt of the order. The second will come from ordersupport@directmail.com and that one will contain a link to download your order. The link is a zip file that when opened will have 3 separate files inside. The first is a PDF with your records formatted to be printed on labels, the second is an Excel file with your data and the third file contains directions on how to correctly format the zip code field in the Excel file.
What is the difference between "unlimited" and "two-time usage" list options?
The difference between our “unlimited” and “two-time usage” list options is that with an unlimited list, you are able to use the list for marketing purposes an unlimited number of times within a 12 month period. With two-time usage, you can use the file twice within a 12 month period for your marketing campaign.

Geographic Selects
When you buy a mailing list you must define the area you wish to target. Targeted mailing lists are proven to increase response rates. You may define your direct mailing list by state, county, city, SCF, Zip codes, radius or by drawing a custom polygon on the map.
Demographic Selects
Think targeted marketing when determining the demographic selects for your mailing list. Who are your best customers? A direct mailing list performs better when you target your prospects based on the demographics of your current customers. Our online mailing list service allows you to define your mailing list by age, income, gender, length of residence and much more.
Telephone Numbers
You can purchase a telemarketing file that includes only the contact name and phone number without confirmed addresses. Mail-only files do not contain phone numbers. A SAN number is required to release telephone numbers.
Email Lists
Email lists are an option. Your consumer count will show how many emails are available. You will have the choice to purchase email only or postal addresses with email.
Pricing & Method of Delivery
Pricing is computed in real-time and depends on your count and selects. Geographic selects are included in the base price. All additional demographic selects are priced per record. Your list will be delivered to you in a .csv format which you can download after purchase. You also have the option to purchase pre-printed mailing labels.
How Does It Work?
Simply select the type of mailing list you wish to purchase. We offer three types of mailing lists: Business Lists, Consumer Lists, and New Movers Lists. You will be asked to select your campaign type, geographic selects, and demographic selects. Upon retrieving counts you may add, change, or delete your selects. Once you are satisfied with your list criteria, you will be able to review the available quantity of your list and pricing. At this point you may still edit your list criteria by clicking 'Back.' Once you are satisfied with your list counts, purchase the list. Within a few minutes you'll be able to download your mailing list.
